Description

LocationEyüp continues to develop with new investments. It is foreseen that the new metro and tram lines, which will establish a link between Eminönü and Eyüp, will also affect real estate prices. The construction of the third airport draws attention as the biggest investment made in terms of transportation to Eyüp. Every year, many local and foreign tourists come to Istanbul who want to experience the nostalgic spirit of Istanbul and witness the meeting of the city with history. Besides, Eyüp Sultan residents are never deprived of this mystical atmosphere.About Karma EvlerIt is a residential project on 3226 m2 land in Göktürk town. The environment, where mainly housing projects create the new settlement, is still being built. Due to the parcel constituting the whole of a building block, we decided to turn the project inward. We did not act like a “site” or “residence”, but wanted it to be a non-homogeneous courtyard structure within the apartment setup. We thought that the living areas would face the green courtyard and enter the units from this courtyard in a scattered manner.

The project, which has a construction area of 17,115 m2, consists of 1+1, 2+1, 3+1 and 4+1 flats in a total of 69 flats. The green courtyard of the building, which is designed to use the whole of the land within the construction boundary, is actually a roof garden due to the parking lot, shelter and terracotta floors below. The entrance is through this courtyard. The plan scheme, which consists of a typology with a closed courtyard and the distortion of the megaron form subject to the contour of the parcel/building area, was partially torn from the south corner at full length, and from the east corner at a two-story height. This rupture not only provides air circulation, but also allows the change of gauge passing through this trace of the land on a block basis. At the same time, this pieced block also provides the use of courtyard and natural light. We did not give any entrance from Çamlık Street, which looks strong and works at the moment. Since it is a residential block, we took the parking lot and pedestrian entrance to the block from the secondary back road. The cores are designed transparent so that the vertical circulation and the points where they pass horizontally are caused by daylight as much as possible, and the user can have a look at the courtyard. While some balconies create niches, console balconies create facade tension in some places. The building did not want to create a housing stock, but wanted to question the concept of conventional stock. Within the number of 69 flats, 45 types of flats were solved.Fixed indoor furniture, social areas and wet areas of the building and apartments were designed together.Ready To Move
